Jam-Jams
2 cups butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups Rogers Golden Syrup (or corn syrup if unavailable)
1 cup water
2 tsp vanilla
8-9 cups flour
3 tsp baking soda
3 tsp baking powder
Mix. Chill thoroughly. Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes. When cool, spread thin layer of strongly-flavoured jam that's not too sweet (ideally homemade damson-plum jam) and make into cookie sandwiches.
