Grandma's cherry moos

2 cups pitted sour cherries
4-5 cups water
2/3 cup sugar
3 Tbsp flour
1/2 cup cream/milk

Add water to cherries and cook until soft. Add half the sugar to the cherries. Combine remaining sugar with flour and add milk to make a smooth paste. Add paste to cherries and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
