- Tripit app - organizes travel plans into an itinerary that has all of your trip details in one place, lets you coordinate with others

- Skyscanner.com - aggregator for flights to compare prices
- Tripadvisor.com - includes hotels as well, and user reviews

FOR ACCOMMODATIONS:
- AirBNB - money saving option to rent homes, apts and more.with reviews
- GoogleMaps, Google Street View -- great for checking just how close your hotel is to destinations, assessing a neighbourhood
- Oyster.com - holds hotels to account by showing real photos vs marketing/ad photos

- Google Translate app - for dealing with the language barrier, including audio of pronunciations.
- City Maps 2Go app - downloadable maps with info on landmarks
- XE.com and XE currency app - currency exchange with constant updates on exchange rates
