Siddha Insight: How A Master Lives In This Forsaken World

How does the Master live in this forsaken world?

He keeps his family, his friends, and all his personal and business relations at arm’s length. For he knows that they have the capacity to turn on him. And turn on a dime. For he has come to realize that nothing in this forsaken world is sacred. Absolutely nothing.

If he wishes to become wealthy, he does. If he wishes to become famous and successful, he does. It is not wise to feel guilty for having done so, or unaccomplished for not having done so. No One other than him, gets a say. Everyone’s “opinion” is empty, superfluous, and unwanted.

If another human does good by him, let him reciprocate because this generosity has pulled at his heart. Not out of obligation.

If another human does wrong by him, family or friend or business associate or store clerk, he may turn the other cheek, or he may return the strike. He is free to do either, without righteousness or guilt. But wisdom has taught him that if he is the sort of man who values inner peace, walking away quietly seems to provide it.

In his chosen craft, there are many Truths. Truths that the so-called “experts” in his industry are hopelessly oblivious to. If he wishes to be a slave to the game, he is free to listen to them. If he wishes to Own it, he will ignore them like the plague. So he will have no mental interference, as he sets off upon a long and solitary journey, to discover them for himself.

He has learned that attachment is the poison of all poisons. And while it costs him years of intense struggle to imbibe this fact in the marrow of his bones, there is nothing in his life that will provide a greater yield.
