vegan ranch dip recipe

So this is a dressing until you refrigerate it, then it's a dip! As a dressing, it's fine, but as a dip, it seriously tastes pretty much exactly like cool ranch doritos if you have it on corn chips. It's by Elaina Love and it's from the Complete Book of Raw Food:

1.5 cups raw cashews 4 tsp. lemon juice or 2.5 tsp apple cider vinegar 1 tsp sea salt (can probably just use salt if no sea salt, maybe increase amt a little) 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp dried dill weed 1 tsp Italian seasoning (I had a salt-free one of these which I honestly have no idea why it was around) 1 minced basil leaf (I did not have one so I just left this out)

Blend cashews, lemon juice, sea salt, onion & garlic powders with 1 cup water (recipe specifies 'purified water' but oh please raw foodists)* until smooth and creamy. If not quite tangy/sour enough add extra lemon juice.

Add dill, Italian seasoning & basil by hand to blended dressing. Store in glass jar in fridge for up to 2 weeks. Note, I did not add the other stuff by hand. I just threw all the ingredients into the food processer and processed until smooth. Once refrigerated for a few hours and eaten with corn chips it really is straight-up cool ranch dip.
